How to use your daily videos to create a Podcast?
I bet you’ve heard that you should be publishing your own podcast, right?
If you’re like me, you’ve also been told that it’s super important to produce content daily and that video is the best content.
Well, I totally agree with that.
I know that, for me, I can instantly know if I like someone when I see them on video.
Hearing their voice is better than reading text but picture and video are miles ahead of just voice.
Why does video matter so much?
Well, if you are building your business on social media, you know that video content is what all social media platforms push.
I mean, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and SnapChat all promote video a lot more.
It makes sense though because people consume video on their phones all the time.
It’s your fasted way to get people to know, like and trust you!
And you know what that turns into, right? Sales.
What is the deal with podcasts?
You probable have been hearing how important it is to have a podcast, right?
All the top marketers have podcasts.
They say it’s the new way of communicating.
Funny, right? That we’d go back to audio!
Reason is because of all these in-home devices.
Google Home and Nest, Amazon Alexa or Apple HomePod are being used more and more but they bring with them an easy way to listen to podcasts.
So, it makes sense that you hear people telling you to create a podcast now.
How can you create both video and podcasts?
You’re probably thinking you don’t have time to create both videos for your social media posts and podcasts for those listeners.
I know how you feel.
To be honest, I’d love to create a podcast show that is different from my daily videos but I don’t have time myself right now.
So, I did the next best thing.
I strip out the audio from my videos and use those as podcast episodes.
It takes just a few extra minutes and a separate account to do that but I know my audience is growing.
What if it was even easier?
After doing that for a while, I decided I wanted it to be even easier.
So, I added RSS audio feeds to my platform.
And you can use it too!
All you need is to supply the URL from YouTube (or Facebook or Vimeo) and share the RSS feed URL with podcast platforms and like magic, you have a podcast!
I mean, you already upload those videos on YouTube, Facebook or Vimeo, right?
Why not leverage them into a podcast?
It’s as simple as 1-2-3
- First, register a free account on Click eCourse at https://clickecourse.com/register and upgrade to the basic plan which supports audio RSS feeds.
- Next create a “Course” to host your episodes and add episodes as lessons (the video URL)
- Publish your RSS feed to the various podcast platforms.
The platform will extract the episodes from the RSS feed and they will check for new episodes daily.
You just have to keep adding new episodes as new lessons to your “course” and they will automatically show up in the podcast platforms.
You’ll probably want to watch the video to see how to do all this.
Share this with your friends who are building a business online, I’m sure they want to know how to get a podcast from their videos too.
