How to setup your Pixel for retargeting ads?

If you are building a business online, you will probably eventually want to do ads, right?

When I started I knew that I would eventually want to do that.

I certainly didn’t think I needed to setup my pixels.

I thought that was something to do with the quality of a picture

What is a pixel?

Well, although it’s true that the more pixels you have in a picture does indeed define it’s quality, that’s not the pixel we are talking about here…

There are a number of definitions for it.

You can also find it in many many different social media platforms.

It’s really just a mechanism to identify who has seen your stuff.

Where can we set this up?

We will look at setting this up on these platforms:

  1. Facebook Pixel – https://business.facebook.com/events_manager/pixel
  2. LinkedIn Insight Tag – https://www.linkedin.com/campaignmanager
  3. Google Tag Manager – https://tagmanager.google.com/

There are many other ways that advertisers manage these pixels but the first thing you need to do is create them in each platform.

The sooner the better.

Even if you don’t plan on spending a dime on advertising for months or years, you should set them up right away, it’s free anyway.

I cover how to create them in the video.

How to use the pixels

Now that you’ve setup your pixels, how do you use them?

You’ll need to get the code for each pixel and add it to your website, blog header or give them to your site admin.

I can’t cover every mechanism, but I show how I”m using it in my funnel pages, my blog and my web site in the video.

Hopefully, this gives you enough information to do it on whatever website or platform you are uding.

Let me know if you need some help.
