How to Grow Online Business with Attraction Marketing?
If you’ve been online for any amount of time in last 10 years, you know that all businesses need to be online.
And I bet you’ve heard that you should be using Attraction Marketing instead of traditional marketing methods.
But what is Attraction Marketing anyway?
Isn’t that what marketing is all about?
What’s the difference between that and other forms of marketing?
What is Marketing?
I guess I’ll start there.
When I look up “what is marketing” online, WikiPedia defines it as:
Marketing is the study and management of exchange relationships. It is the business process of identifying, anticipating and satisfying customers’ needs and wants. Because marketing is used to attract customers, it is one of the primary components of business management and commerce. Marketers can direct product to other businesses (B2B marketing) or directly to consumers (B2C marketing).

So, it’s looks like it’s about attracting customers to you, right?
I guess you could say that “attraction marketing” is just marketing…
What’s the difference with Attraction Marketing?
However, in the online world, the social media world where we mix in Personal Branding with Marketing, we give marketing a much more precise focus.
It’s all about attracting your ideal customer to you personally instead of to your business or product.
Sure, you can attract people to a product, service or company, but in the social media world, it’s super expensive to do that.
In reality, attraction marketing is really about using personal branding to attract people to you.
What do you need to do?
Well, the main thing is you need to be producing content.
You can create content for all the platforms which is definitely recommended.
Some even say it’s a waste of time to create content that you share across platforms, I’m not sure that’s true though.
That’s why I do what I do.
Your Attraction Marketing strategy
I won’t go and say you must do this, but this is what I do to attract my ideal customer to me, so you can do the same or similar.
- Setup a web site or blog where you will want to send everyone to
- Create content, daily if possible and have call to action of visiting your blog or web site (What I do is create a 20-30 minute video and story video every week day.)
- Share that content on all platforms. Personally, I share it to:
- YouTube (full video)
- LinkedIn (short video)
- Facebook (short video and story video)
- Twitter (link to full video and blog post)
- Instagram (short video and story video)
- TikTok (story video)
- Snapchat (story video)
- Pinterest (link to blog and full video)
- Tumblr (link to blog)
- WordPress free blog site (duplicate of blog post)
- Amazon Alexa Skill (audio from short video)
- Soundcloud Podcast (audio from full video)
- Apple iTunes Podcast (audio from full video)
- Click eCourse platform
- Add to aWeber email list
My process includes extraction of audio, creation of thumbnails and shorter versions of my long videos.
You can do all this with online tools or apps for your computer but I use automated scripts to do it all.
Once I’ve recorded the full video and written the blog, I run a script that generates the GIF files, the thumbnails, the audio extraction, trims video to create shorter one and generates a bunch of text files to use in posts.
I then use those files and text to post on all those platforms listed above.
Conclusion
In all honesty, you don’t need to do all this…
Just remember that attraction marketing is about getting people to you using personal branding and to do that you probably should be using a blog or at the very least social media content.
