Adding a Chat Bot to your Course to Offer a Coupon!
If you have a course you’ll trying to sell, you are probably using a few methods to get sales.
There’s a new way that is super cool that you can use.
I’m sure you’ve heard of Chat Bots!
What if you could setup a Chat Bot for your course that would offer your visitor an awesome deal?
What is a Chat Bot?
There are lots of different chat bots out there.
Some require Facebook accounts and tie into your Facebook page, such as ManyChat.
I used ManyChat quite a bit when it first came out but got turned off of it when Facebook changed the rules.
There are others that can just be added to your Blog or website.
As a matter of fact, many of them, most of which charge a monthly fee.
My favorite chat bot for web sites
I found one called ConversioBot which I’ve been loving and have been setting up on my blog and web sites.
They currently have a lifetime deal, so now is the time to lock that in.
Anyway, I’ll show you how to integrate it to your course on Click eCourse platform.
If you are using another platform, you may be able to integrate it too.
Creating the chat bots
The first thing you’ll need to do after getting your account is create two bots for your course.
One for the sales page and another for the on exit popup bot.
I show you how to do all this in the video, so please go watch that if any of this isn’t clear.
In your ConversioBot dashboard, you’ll want to go to “My Bots”, create a new Folder and create a new bot in that folder.
Since there’s no limit to the number of chat bots you can create with this platform, I like to create a folder per course.
The click eCourse platform allows you to have a different bot on sales page as well as student page and individual lesson pages if you want to go that far.
The Chat Bot blocks
Once you create the chat bot, you need to add blocks to it.
A block is an individual section in the bot’s conversation.
It might be an image or a question with an expected response.
I like to welcome them and ask if they have time for a quick chat in the first block.
Then in the next block, I tell them my name and ask them theirs.
From there I ask more specific questions based on the course they are on.
The on exit popup Chat bot
The second bot you want is for when they try to leave the site.
You’ll want it to popup if they try to leave and perhaps offer them a bigger rebate than what they see on the site.
For example, if you have a deal going on right now at, say 50% off, then maybe you can offer them a coupon for 60% or 75% off if they use it now.
Regardless of what you want to offer them, you can do it with an onExit chat bot.
Tying it all together
In the settings of the main chat bot, you’ll want to add the second chat bot as the on exit popup event.
That will cause it to show up if they mouse away to change tabs for example.
Once you’ve completed the blocks for both, added the on exit event to the first one and published it all, you just need to go add the chat bot id to the course settings.
Conclusion
Make sure to watch the video as I explain and show this much better than can be done in a blog post.
If you have any questions about this chat bot software or the course hosting platform, let me know and I’ll do my best to answer.
Maybe I’ll even do a new post to show you exactly how.
Don’t forget to share this post with your friends, they’ll thank you for it.
