Attraction Marketing Truth 1 of 5 – Setup your profile for your ideal prospect
In online marketing, the most important thing to master is Attraction Marketing.
You definitely do not want to spend all your time prospecting but rather have people reach out to you instead.
Of course, that can only happen if they know what you offer and how it will help them.
Because social media is all about building relationships, it makes it a little tricky to get that to happen.
After you’ve clearly identified your ideal prospect, what they want and what they do not want, you need to have your profile setup for success.
What does is mean to setup your profile for your ideal prospect?
When we think about Attraction Marketing, we can easily understand that it’s about getting people to reach out to you instead of you reaching out to them.
In other words, we want them to make the first move.
In reality though, we are still making the first move by making sure what they see about us before they connect resonates with them.
This means your profile picture, about info, links, posts and everything they see when they come to your page tells them to reach out to you because you can solve their problem.
So, when we say “setup for your ideal prospect”, that means all that so they resonate with it.
How do you know what it takes to setup your profile for your ideal prospect?
Before you can setup your profile for your ideal prospect, you need to be extremely clear on who they are.
That being said, it’s probably the hardest thing you’ll ever do!
Mainly because we are automatically governed by the fear of doing it wrong or missing out on the best prospects.
Why? Probably because we think everyone would love our product or service!
Problem is if you don’t define (or rather choose) who your idea prospect is, what their desires are, what their fears are, what they look like, their age, their location, and everything else you will not be able to create content and setup your profile for them!
What are the basics of your profile?
You probably already know about your profile picture and your BIO – or intro and if you don’t just know that they all look at that, so it’s critical to be clear to them.
Instead of trying to go through all the important things you need to do with your profile, let me offer you a small eBook that will explain it all, the Profile Profits Cheatsheet!
That eBook will tell you about the top 5 most important things you need to do with your profile to attract your ideal prospect.
Why define your ideal prospect?
As I mentioned, before you can setup your profile for your ideal prospect, you’ll need to know who your ideal prospect is.
I know it’s easy to just say: “Setup your profile for your ideal prospect’ and leave it as that!
I mean, everyone knows that their ideal prospect is EVERYONE! right?
I know you’ve heard the saying: “If you target everyone, you’ll reach no one”
And it’s oh so very true.
Not just about you and what you do, but also how social platforms will not share your post with anyone!
How to define your ideal prospect?
The trick is to define your ideal prospect so you create content targeted to them and social media actually knows who to share it to as well.
See, if you post and the platform doesn’t even share your content, no one will ever see it.
The most important thing is to actually use words and content your idea prospect will be interested in.
Maybe you are thinking, like I did in the beginning, that it’s easy to define something when you know what it is, but I don’t really have a clue who is best prospect for my product!
What I learned is that you don’t need to know! You just need to decide! Decide who your ideal prospect is! That’s it!
Now that you know that it starts with deciding who your ideal prospect is, you’ll see how much easier it can be to define them.
Don’t worry if that’s not the right prospect, you can always adjust over time but with the prospect clearly defined, you’ll create content more easily.
