How to Grow YOUR Audience in 2023 in 5 Simple Steps?
Now that 2022 is coming to an end, it’s time to think of 2023!
What better way to focus on the New Year than to think about best way to grow your audience!
Let’s face it, if you don’t have an audience that knows, likes and trusts you, you don’t have a business!
But it’s not that hard to get there, if you do the right things…
What do the gurus tell you to do?
It’s pretty consistent out there in the online marketing space.
All the gurus, courses, leaders, trainers and consultants tell you the same thing – including me – and that’s to do the following:
- Define your offer and avatar
- Setup your profile
- Post every day
- Engage on other’s posts every day
- Connect every day
Seems pretty simple, right?
Yeah, that’s what I thought too when I started.
Why do the gurus tell you this?
Don’t get me wrong, those are valuable activities you need to master.
The process of doing all these activities and learning how to incorporate them into your life is critical.
That’s why the gurus tell you to do these things.
What they don’t tell you is that your choices of what content to engage with will ultimately be the crucial decision towards success or failure!
The truth is though that until now, you really had no other option than to follow those actions.
What’s different in 2023?
Truth be told, the actions are still pretty much the same, except for one thing…
Here’s the 5 steps to grow your audience in 2023 that I go by now:
- Setup your profile with the intent that visitors have a clear message of what you are about.
- Create content regularly (daily if possible) that is congurent with your offer – most important is to be consistent!
- Engage on posts of people who are your ideal prospect every day – 10-20 per day – 30-60 posts.
- Find new ideal prospects who are most active on Facebook to connect with daily – 2-5 new per day
- Track your progress so you know when it’s a good time to have conversations with prospects (typically wait 30-90 days after commenting on 60-120 posts)
If you’re like me, your first reaction is: “Woah! There’s no way I can do that!”
I promise you it is possible – I do that every day and spend about 30 minutes per day doing it!
How can you possibly do it all in 30 minutes per day?
You’re probably thinking I’m totally crazy.
I have some friends that I showed my process to and they were completely blown away.
They were doing most of this already using spreadsheets, folders and notepad documents and it took them a hell of a lot longer than 30 minutes a day!
I can imagine you’ve already guessed that there’s some sort of software needed to do the tracking and you’d be right.
There’s actually lots of tools you can use to do this but today, I’ll be talking about just one.
How to find the best prospects on Facebook
Before talking about the software though, let’s clarify the process that the software does.
We all know that your ideal prospects are hiding in Facebook groups that they are interested in.
You probably already know this and have been commenting on posts and creating new posts in those group.s
I mean, that’s what the gurus tell you to do right?
So, it might come as no surprise that the software looks for users in those groups.
What you must do though is figure out who is actually active in those groups. The people who are in the groups but don’t post anything aren’t the ones you can have conversations with.
You need to look at the posts and comments and see who is the most active because you know they are highly likely to notice you.
What does the software do that you can’t do?
Truth be told, the software doesn’t do anything you can’t do yourself.
The difference is that is can do it faster than you ever could. It does it better than anyone else and will not stop because it doesn’t get tired or annoyed at repetitive acctions.
Imagine going to those groups and just building a list of all the users that are actually active!
That’s exactly what the software does – gives you a list of the active users in the groups you choose.
But it doesn’t stop there…

What if you knew when the last time was you commented on a friends posts?
Sure, it’s possible to use Facebook’s activities page to see but when you’re commenting on 60 posts a day as any online marketer should, it’s pretty much impossible to know what posts you commented on 3 days ago, let alone 2 months ago!
